Everyone's got a sound. Let's help you find yours.

Whatever brought you here, we all want the same thing: to actually play the music we love. The hard part is staying motivated to get there, so we make every step rewarding, and keep you coming back.

The honest truth:

No one dreams about practicing.
They dream about playing.

Picking it back up:

"I've dabbled for years. I want to finally level up and see real progress, without feeling like a total beginner again, and without using beginner method books."

Kids, teens, grown-ups. Nobody signs up excited about drills. What they picture is playing: a song they love, a jam with friends, a moment that makes them feel like they've got it. Getting them there, and keeping it worth it every step, is the whole job. Below are the top 3 reasons our students come to us. You could have different reason, and we’re excited to hear about it!

Just starting out:

"Where do I even start? Is this going to be hard, or feel like another class with homework?"

And for the parent: "Will they actually stick with it, or is this one more thing we quit in a month?"

Beyond the basics:

"I can play, but I’m stalling. I’m tired of guessing if I’m improving in the best ways for my goals, on my own . I want someone to guide me.”

We've been Baton Rouge's
music home for 20 years.

We know starting feels intimidating, and we know lessons that are all drills don't stick. That's exactly why we built BRMS around playing together: real classes, real bands, real stages, since 2006. Hundreds of Baton Rouge families have found their sound here, mostly by word of mouth. We'd love to help you find yours.

We love BRMS! My son has gained music skills and confidence through a variety of programs offered. From the camps to lessons to Young Band Nation gigs, our experience has been amazing. We’ve connected with other families, as well. And the staff…professional, caring, and just plain cool. We love everyone at the Music Studio!

Baton Rouge Music Studios has given our son a home away from home. It’s a place where he feels safe, comfortable, & proud of himself. Their Young Band Nation program has helped him come out of his shell & learn to collaborate with his peers. I cannot speak highly enough about our BRMS experience!
