sign up for rock lab session 1

What is RockLab anyway? It’s a way to create more purpose to your lessons by learning entire songs in addition to theory, technique, and all of the other essential elements being taught in private lessons. It only takes 2 extra days out of a six week session. It’s inexpensive. And the benefits of learning and performing with other students far outweigh the benefits of simply just taking private lessons month after month. Why are you in lessons anyway? Is one of the reasons “to learn a performance based musical instrument”? Then why aren’t you performing with it? C’mon! Be in a band with other BRMS students! You’ve got to experience the feeling of performing with other students and instructors on stage! It’s exhilarating and fun! Sign up for RockLab session one, and you’ll be sure to continue signing up session after session!

Session 1 Dates: Sept 5th-October 21st (students simply attend private lessons and learn songs)
Session 1 Cost: $75 (one time fee per 6 week session – add on cost to normal monthly tuition)
Rehearsal Date: Oct 22nd (students come to BRMS on a Saturday and rehearse the learned songs with other students)
Performance Date: Oct 23rd (on Sunday afternoon, students meet at the Brew Ha-Ha Coffeeshop and perform their songs)

BRMS bands playing for a great cause

Click Image to Connect to Relay for Life

This Saturday, May 21st, BRMS students will provide entertainment for The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. The event will be held in the field at Bluebonnet BLVD and Picardy near Baton Rouge General and The Mall of LA. The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. At Relay, teams of people camp out at a local high school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Because cancer never sleeps, Relays are overnight events up to 24 hours in length.
