What is your makeup policy?
Makeup lessons are not guaranteed. Each instructor has a different makeup policy – some instructors are not able to provide makeup lessons due to their schedule, and some instructors are able to provide makeup lessons on occasion.
When is tuition due?
All accounts are paid through direct draft no earlier than the 5th of each month. Accounts may be paid via check or cash if the entire semester is paid up front in lump sum.
What is your drop policy?
For private and group lessons, students may drop at any point in the semester. However, private and group lesson students must provide a 30-day written (hand-written or emailed: billing@brmusicstudios.com) notice to the front office. We have provided a drop form for you to fill out here. If a 30-day notice cannot be given, a $30 immediate drop fee must be accompanied with a written notice of immediate drop. Notice of drop must be given to the front office, not to the instructor. Giving notice to the front office stops the invoicing process at the appropriate time. If notice of drop is given to the instructor and not the front office, BRMS cannot be held liable for any accrued charges.
Young Band Development Program students make a financial commitment to the entire semester. Refunds or credits will not be provided in case of a student drop.
Do I receive a credit for a missed lesson?
If a student misses a lesson, a credit will not be issued. If an instructor misses a lesson and cannot provide a makeup lesson, then a $20-$25 credit (depending on tuition) will be issued for a 1/2-hour lesson and $40-$50 credit (depending on tuition) for a 1-hour lesson.
Do I receive a credit for a studio closure?
We do not issue credits for studio closures. Studio closures are already factored into the flat rate monthly tuition. In a typical month, you will receive 4 lessons. In the event that you receive 5 lessons in a month, the studio will not charge you for that 5th lesson – we consider it a “bonus lesson”. In months where you receive less than 4 lessons due to studio closures, “bonus lessons” even these closures out.
How do I make a payment?
We currently accept prepayment of an entire semester by cash, check or credit/debit card (Visa, MasterCard and Discover) OR monthly payment via direct draft of your debit or credit card.
